This April, Friends of Berrien County Trails invites you to roll up your sleeves and give back to the trails you love.
In celebration of Earth Day and Celebrate Trails Day, we’re helping bring attention to a series of community clean-up events across Berrien County from April 22–25. Whether you have an hour or a full morning, there’s an opportunity for everyone to get involved and make a visible impact on our shared spaces.
Our trails connect communities, support healthy lifestyles, and showcase the natural beauty of Berrien County. Keeping them clean and well-maintained ensures they remain safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all.
Red Arrow Trail / Marquette Greenway Wednesday, April 22 (All Day)
Join New Buffalo and Chikaming Townships in a flexible, community-wide clean-up. Residents and businesses are encouraged to tidy nearby trail sections, roadways, and properties throughout the day.

Monte Road Trailhead, Benton Harbor

Indiana Michigan River Valley Trail Cleanup Saturday, April 25 | 9:30–11:30 AM
Join partners from the City of Niles, Niles Charter Township, Bike Michiana Coalition, and St. Patrick’s County Park to help care for this regional trail connection.
If you have them, bring gloves and basic tools—though some supplies will be available. And yes, refreshments will be provided at select locations!
These events are about more than clean-up—they’re about community. Invite a friend, bring your family, and take pride in helping maintain the trails that bring us all together.
